Discipline. Teamwork. Calmness under pressure. Many of the skills you honed within the military are exactly the qualities we need in our production environment and across our business. Joining us could be the perfect route into a successful civilian career.

At Jaguar Land Rover, we have a long history of supporting the British Military. In particular, we are committed to helping ex-armed forces personnel reintegrate into successful civilian careers.
We are proud to have signed the British Armed Forces military covenant and, as official partners of the inaugural Invictus Games, are encouraging other organisations to do the same.

One reason we feel such a connection with current and ex-Service personnel is that we admire so many of their attributes and skills. Discipline. Precision. Pride. Determination. The ability to stay calm under intense pressure. All these qualities, which are essential in the military, are also highly sought-after within our manufacturing facilities.

Another reason is our culture. The team is a big part of life here, just as it is in the armed forces. Everyone is expected to look out for each other and we all work together to get the job done.

We believe Jaguar Land Rover is an ideal destination for anyone looking to move back into civilian life. We also work closely with the Career Transition Partnership to ensure everyone making the move is fully supported.

Invictus Games

Jaguar Land Rover is proud to have been the official partner for the inaugural Invictus Games. Launched by Prince Harry, the new international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Service personnel used the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate wider understanding and respect for those who serve their country.

As well as offering commercial support, we provided a fleet of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for the Invictus Games and 150 of our employees worked as volunteers at the event.

We have since pledged to explore opportunities with the Royal Foundation and the Ministry of Defence to create innovative ways to enhance the valuable role of veterans as skilled employees. This is part of creating a lasting legacy for the games and reflects our commitment to helping ex-armed forces personnel reintegrate into successful civilian careers.

Surmounting operational challenges. Delivering results with precision. Working under pressure. Being part of a large team. This is what it means to be one of our Production Operatives. Unsurprisingly, it’s a role in which ex-Servicemen and women thrive.

Qualities we look for include discipline, tenacity and great team-working skills – all of which you will have honed during your time in the forces. Transfer those skills to our state-of-the-art production environments, and you can build a successful civilian career working on some of the most iconic vehicles in the world.

At Jaguar Land Rover, we work closely with the Career Transition Partnership to enable people who are leaving the forces successfully reintegrate into the world of work.
